- When I arrived in Kolkata at the beginning of December, I felt a bit overwhelmed with the amount of necessity and tasks I felt that Responsible Charity needed to take on to truly make a difference in the lives of several families in a slum in the City of Joy. But after a few days and a slow but sure readjustment to the pollution, weather and constant noise, things started to become clearer...

- This is one of the mothers and babies who we now supply milk to on a weekly basis. This is crucial for some of the toddlers who are older and breastfeeding is not possible for, as the milk formulas are very expensive and the parents often put off buying them which can result in malnutrition and chronic health issues for the child growing up. We are now preventing a chain reaction of problems with this program.
A month supply of milk for 13 families and their children was purchased with donations from: Victoria & Eric Elliott, Usama Issa, Anna-Helena Svensson, Patty Abbott, Mike Brown, Keith Ashley, Elizabeth Wagner and Eric Vasallo!
